BookGanga - eBook Reader lets you obtain and read e-books, mostly Indian literature or in Indian languages like Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Tamil or Punjabi. Plenty of books in English as well as World literature books are also available.
One of the advantages of this tool is the fact that it lets you purchase e-books or download free ones. Using it is very easy as its interface is very simple and intuitive. The reading interface is quite pleasant, as the reading window includes some handy additional functions like zooming or skipping directly to a specific page.
Unfortunately, there were a lot of small yet annoying flaws that bothered me while using this application. For example, I had to wait for some time before I could get the results after the program scanned the free online library. Then, features like sorting and list filtering or searching for specific books were not available. To my disappointment, some of the books that were presented as free were in fact previews of commercial books. Last but not least, accessing the login window made the application completely restart in some cases. It just seemed unstable and unreliable to me. Anyway, it’s a free tool that could be worth trying, especially by those interested in Indian literature and willing to ignore all kinds of small downsides.
